Introduction
Chintu is a learning app for children aged 3–13. An account can only be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account and entering the One-Time Password (OTP) we send, you confirm that you are the child’s parent or guardian and consent to the practices below.
What we collect
- Parent/guardian mobile number — to set up the account and verify you by OTP.
- Child’s nickname — to personalize the app. Please don’t use a full legal name.
- Basic device and usage data — such as device type, app version, a usage/stability identifier, which features are used, and crash logs.
We do not collect passwords, precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data, biometric data, or ID documents — and we don’t ask children for any personal information beyond a nickname.
How we use it
To create and secure accounts, verify logins with OTPs, personalize the experience, fix issues, keep the app stable, and respond to support requests. Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we process this data with your consent and our legitimate interest in keeping the app secure and operational.
We do not show targeted ads, and we never sell, rent, or share children’s information for advertising or marketing.
Third-party providers
We use a few trusted providers for analytics, performance monitoring, and deep linking. They may collect limited device and usage data under their own privacy policies, and we set them to a privacy-protective mode for children (no advertising identifiers, no ad personalization). They may not use children’s data for their own marketing. Parents can request the full provider list and their policies at support@cleversnest.com.
Security and storage
We protect data with OTP authentication, encryption in transit and at rest, and restricted access. Data may be processed in other countries with appropriate safeguards in place.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep account data only while the account is active. You can delete the account anytime in the app:
Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account → verify with OTP → confirm.
Deletion is permanent and occurs immediately, in real time, except where the law requires us to keep certain records.
Your rights as a parent
You can review, correct, or delete your child’s information, refuse further collection, or withdraw consent at any time — in the app or by emailing support@cleversnest.com. You may also have additional rights under your local laws.
Changes
If we make changes that materially affect children’s data, we’ll notify you in the app or by other appropriate means and, where required, ask for renewed consent.
